Countdown Until Championship Saturday- AU at SJFC

SENIOR DAY- This Saturday (Utica Game)

It was confirmed with Coach Vos that Saturday will be SENIOR DAY. Parents and family members that are participating in this event are asked to be at the scoreboard area of the field by 12:15pm to get briefed on the procedure and to have their picture taken with their son.

An email was sent out to all senior parents whose email we have. We also asked for help...if you know of a senior parent...PLEASE...inform them of this change in the Senior Day. This was a request from some of the senior players and has been apporved by the coaching staff.

Bring your cameras!!!! Let's take this time to say THANK YOU to our senior players and their families for the dedication that they've given to the Cardinal Football program.

Springfield College -Pre-Game Tailgate

HUGE....HUGE....GAME!!!! Look for the banner on the tent of Dr. Kramer and you will find the location of the "Medicinal Tailgate" event prior to the Springfield-SJFC game on Saturday. This event will begin at 10:30am in a parking lot near the field...once again...the banner is the key....remember the game...Where in the World is "Dr. Kramer?"

Very Limited Responses to Springfield Tailgate Email

Just reminding everyone to PLEASE get their tailgate responses back to us as soon as possible. Getting them back after 5:00pm today does not allow others to bring additioanl supplies to pick up for the missing items. Many of us will be leaving early on Friday and that will put a clitch into shopping to get the extra food. THANK you for your time with this.

Fisher Blankets for Sale

If you don't mind passing the word around I'd really like to get rid of all these blankets that I have (with football logo). I'm not looking to make any money, just sell what I have at cost. Blankets are $40 each. I think I am going to sell them at the Utica and Alfred games, but if you don't mind mentioning to parents that I have these that would be great. Thanks.

OK...we are on!!!! Thanks to the efforts of Coach Vos, he was able to obtain the use of the North end of the SLC (Where we used to Tailgate) for after the game. The weather is predicted to be BAD...wet, rainy and cold...OH...I LOVE NY!!!!!

We can plug our hot dishes in to the outlets there...may want to bring some plugs with alot of outlets. If any of you would want to bring a hot dish as well...we can use it....Chili, Mac and Cheese, etc. go a long way on these types of games. We will need to use a pop-up to cook under as well.

If you have additional tables...we can SURE use them! As always....THANK YOU...from all of us for the OUTSTANDING support that you provided this year for our sons and their coaches. You are one special family...and when you have a moment..please say a special prayer for the Jillian Borkowski and the Borkowski family! Go Cards...we'll see you at Growney!!!!

Oh..Yeah....we understand that our Tailgate Professors, Drs. Kramer, Miranto and Stepnick will have the pre-tailgate party rocking early!

( sister of Nick Borkowski - # 44 JV / # 95 V ) ... she will be having
surgery ( her 20th ) , this Friday @ Strong Hospital . We appreciate all of
your support & prayers these past couple of months - it has meant so much
to all of us ... Thankyou ...
Not sure what we will make it to this weekend ( unfortunately , we have had
to miss some of the Varsity games ) , but , some of our family members are
going to try ... If we can send stuff for JV / V , we will - if not ,all of

Football Team Raffle

Just received word from Coach Faggiano that ONLY 130 raffle tickets have been sold for the football raffle. Each player(JV and Varsity) is required to sell four (4) raffle tickets. The sold raffle tickets are supposed to be turned in to Coach Parks either in person or by mail ASAP. The winners will be announced at the Alfred Varsity game. If you have any questions, please contact the football office.

Springfield College Hotel/Senior Awards/Norwich Tailgate

We've been asked to obtain a hotel for Friday, October 19th, the day before the Spirngfiled College Game. We were able to block 15 rooms of a variety of types at the Hilton Garden Inn, just two miles from the college. When you call, you will need to ask for the Room Block under the SJFC Parents Football Booster Club.

Also, words just don't express how much Sarah and I appreciate the untiring efforts of all of our parents whop have supported our player/coaches tailgates this year. Once again, this is what makes the Fisher Football family a family! Sarah has mailed out the new list. As you can see, we've added a few "hot" food items that the team enjoys. There are plugs available in the hallway of the Coaches Suite at the college to plug into.

Hope we see you all on Saturday! Also, if any Sophomore and Junior parents would like to help out with the Senior Awards and Presentations, please email Sarah at bsrmcqueen@wboro.org.

Pre-game Chicken BBQ

The SJFC Womens' Soccer team will be sponsoring a Chicken BBQ before the game on Saturday. If you want to get a great hot meal this may the place to fill up before the game.
$8 for a dinner. The dinner includes 1/2 BBQ chicken, salt potatoes,
mac salad or coleslaw, dinner roll, pickles and a mint. We will run from 2-5:30 or until sold out. It will be set up over on the visitor side of the stadium (set back but next to the visitor grandstand) You won't miss us !!

Brockport Game: Must Read Regarding Tailgate

Coach Vos said we can post-game tailgate outside behind the SLC similar to what we did after the Courage Bowl. We will be doing hot dogs and a picnic type meal. The grill will be available for us to use and is in good working order. If any of you are bringing hot dishes, Coach Vos said extension cords can be run out of the ofice or SLC to plug into. May want to bring some with us. Due to a Women's Soccer Chicken BBQ Fund Raiser BEFORE the game behind the SLC, parking will be limited. Coach encourages people to drop off their items and park in another location so as not to bother the Women's Soccer Fund Raiser. (See below)

Hey Blaise - can you forward this info on to your football parents in case they want to eat a nice pre-game meal -- I know they tailgate but that is usually after the game this will get them something good to eat to hold them over until your post game festivities plus they will support the women soccer team!! Thanks for your help - Jill
