Ernesto....Weather of Not!!!!

Get ready...we may have a visitor on Saturday!

Looking ahead to Friday and Saturday, heavy flooding rain will shift from Carolinas to parts of the Middle Atlantic and Northeast (including portions of Virginia, West Virginia, Maryland, Delaware, Pennsylvania, New Jersey and Upstate New York) as remnants of Ernesto work northward and interact with a stationary boundary draped across the region. This heavy rainfall will be in tandem with the busy travels of the Labor Day holiday. Be ready to deal with slow air travel and surface travel in the region. Keep it here at weather.com and The Weather Channel for updates and the forecast as we approach the holiday weekend.

Thank you to the McQueen's for setting up and maintaining this blog !! As we all know, this is the Fisher Family and all this wouldn't happen without all the parents support and help! And without Loretta we would be lost ! Many of you know that it Loretta that is the organizer, decorator, set-up and clean-up person. Thank you Loretta !!! I personally would like to thank everyone who pitched in for the scrimmage. Thanks to everyone who brought food and drinks for the boys. I have a few special thanks at the risk of missing some (I'm sorry !). The Martins - who are always willing to help wherever needed. The Sidari's - helping to serve food, cleaning up after and especially bringing an extra bin of ice to chill the drinks ! The Cucits, The Reeverts and The Gallettos who are always there to help clean up! (Jim and I finally left at 11:15 - we would have been there until midnight!!) The Hopkins and Delaneys who stepped up and helped on their first day with us!! And to everyone else who pitched in and offered their help in the future ! Thank You !! Thank You !! Thank You !! The Fisher Family is wonderful !! Go Cardinals !!

Thank you SJFC Tailgaters

Thank you to all of the parents and families that donated to this week’s tailgate event after the scrimmage against Buffalo State. Thanks also to Karen, Jim, Loretta, Bob, Pam and Doug for the extra efforts in arranging for the food, tent location, grill, etc. Your efforts do not go unnoticed by all.

Thanks to all of the parents and families that brought food and drink for the tailgate yesterday. Your efforts are just one reason why all of say that the Cardinal Football FAMILY is second to none. Mr. DePalma those SJFC Tailgate T-Shirts were a BIG HIT!!! Thank you…and from what we’ve been hearing…you better restock them for next week’s game. If you would like an OFFICIAL SJFC Tailgate T-shirt, bring $10.00 and see Mr. DePalma after the game. If you don’t know him, he is the gentlemen on the sidelines with his camera and a lens about a mile long!!!!!

This week the coaches and players will be preparing for their first game on the year against Kings College. We would once again like to provide them with another tailgate event after the game. We do this for the players and coaches as a way of thanking them for their efforts. Plus, it gives our parents and Cardinal Football Family a chance to meet new parents, share new stories and talk Cardinal football.

JV parents you are not out of the picture. We DO tailgate for the JV away games and will be looking forward to someone who will step up to the plate and help arrange these events. Last year the players and coaches couldn't say thank you enough for the efforts that the parents put into their tailgate party after the game. It makes for a great ride home. If you are interested in helping to coordinate the JV away game tailgates, please see Karen and Loretta for more information.

Order for our Window Clings (decals) will continue to be taken at the Kings College game. Just look for the “Cling Lady,” Pam Martin for an order form. I believe that we are well over 100 clings sold to date. This is a great way to show the world that you are a Cardinal Football Fan! Great job Pam!

Don’t forget the Fisher Golf Classic that will be held on Friday, September 29th at the Ravenwood Golf Club in Victor, NY. This course is one of the highlighted courses on the PGA list of top golf courses in Western NY. Here is another way of supporting the Fisher Football Program. This year’s format will once again be a four person scramble team event! Entry fee is $150.00..cheap when you see how you are treated and the prizes and dinner you receive! Looking for a “productive day off” from work? This may be the best bet on the 29th!

In closing, we wish the players and the coaches good luck this week as they prepare to face Kings College this coming Saturday. Be part of this exciting first game…bring your cow bells and make some noise…cow bells have become am important part of the Cardinal Cheering section. The more bells the merrier!

The window clings are selling well. Loretta's last email had the form attached. This order will continue to be taken right through the Kings College game. Any questions please contact PamMartin, mom of Number 62!

Don't forget that we will be tailgating behind the coaches office near the Tennis Courts.

It's time!!

SJFC Cardinal Booster Window Decal

Looking for a great way to show the world where your son is playing football? Want to show the world the best football supporters in the world? Here's your chance to do just that!

If you would like to order one, or more, of these static cling decals for your car, please contact Pam Martin at the Cardinal Football Scrimmage this Saturday. Pam will have the order forms ready at the Tailgate Party after the scrimmage. These window clings are going VERY FAST and we will be placing the order for them after the Kings College game on September 2.

We will be tailgating after the scrimmage this Saturday. Keep your eyes peeled for the exact location and the donations needed. The players were VERY HUNGRY after the inter-squad scrimmage so we believe it may be time for the grill to come out!!!

Don't forget to bring your "bells" and "noisemakers" for this "warm-up" event! The boys appreciate the supportive Cardinal fans...as well as I'm sure the entire coaching staff!

That's right! Believe it or not the intersquad scrimmage is over and now the team and coaches begin to prepare for the Buffalo State scrimmage on Saturday. Should be a great one!

We will be providing desserts and drinks for the team and coaches after the game. More on this will be coming shortly. The teams will practice at 1:00pm together, eat their dinner together at 3:00pm and kickoff the scrimmage at 6:00pm. Bring your football gear and be ready to cheer on the Cardinals.

Don't forget the Cardinal Golf Scramble on September 29th at the Ravenwood Golf Club in Victor, NY. Interested? Check with the coaching staff or the Alumni Office for more information.

It's Official!

We will be using this blog to bring you up-to-date on on events that our Cardinal Football Boosters will sponsor. As Coach Vos said at Opening Day, the football raffle fund raiser will be out soon. We need help in making this a success for our players. Every little bit helps! Hope we will see a great turnout for our scrimmage and tailgate on August 26 at our scrimmage vs. Buffalo State. Go Cardinals!
